Economic and community development
More information on Rotary International (RI) and all of its initiatives can be found at the RI Website Click Here
Rotary’s guiding principle is “Service Above Self” and you will often hear Rotarians refer to the Four Way Test in all that we say and do:
1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build good will and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
These are adopted by all Rotarians around the world.
Rotary International is divided into districts with each district being led by a District Governor. Colonial Park Rotary is part of Rotary District 7390 which encompasses Rotary Clubs in 7 counties:
Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York
The District provides training and fellowship opportunities, grants and funding, partnership opportunities with other clubs, and is a conduit between our club and Rotary International. The monthly district newsletter and program information can be found on the District 7390 Website Click Here
We ask each new member to get involved by completing a checklist of activities. These activities are designed to help the new member become acquainted with the Club and its members.
Colonial Park Rotary’s membership typically varies between 80 and 90 members who represent small businesses, major corporations, educational institutions, non-profit organizations and government entities.
A 13 member Board of Directors governs the club.
Our club’s primary focus is on education and we partner with Central Dauphin High School, Central Dauphin East High School and Dauphin County Technical School on several initiatives…Students of the Month, Essay/Video Contests, RYLA Leadership Training, scholarships, etc.
