Rotary Club of Colonial Park Announces New Recreational Activities

Bocce Ball and Pétanque Courts now available at Koons Park in Lower Paxton Township

The Rotary Club of Colonial Park, in cooperation with the Lower Paxton Township Parks and Recreation Department, is pleased to announce the addition of Bocce Ball and Pétanque courts at Koons Park in the township.  These courts are now ready for the residents of the township to use.  The horseshoe and shuffleboard courts are being upgraded and will be ready for use soon.  Koons Park is located at 630 Larue St. in Linglestown, and the courts are at the Southeast corner of the park.

The Rotary Club and Parks and Recreation will be holding an open house on the courts at Koons Park on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday, July 20th from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 8 pm.  Township residents are welcome to come and see the improvements made at the park and meet members of the Rotary Club to hear the plans for all courts and how residents can become involved in helping to organize activities.  There will also be a demonstration of all actives provided and the equipment used.

The Rotary Club of Colonial Park has made this possible through the generosity of the club members who continue to assist the parks and recreation department improve the recreational activities for residents of Lower Paxton Township.
