2018 Rotary Club of Colonial Park Scholarships Available

Rotary Club of Colonial Park Foundation Scholarships are being offered to students of Central Dauphin School District, Dauphin County Technical School, Bishop McDevitt High School, and/or Harrisburg Christian School for the 2018 Fall Semester with application deadlines for all scholarships being offered on Friday, April 13, 2018.

  • The Shirley Swartz Nursing Scholarship is for one (1) student entering the nursing program at any nursing college.  This is a one year scholarship and can continue for a second year if all guidelines are met and funds are available. ($10,500.00)
     
  • The Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Scholarship is for one (1) student entering the mechanical or electrical engineering field to any college.  This is a one year scholarship. ($10,000.00)
     
  • The Norman P. Hetrick Scholarship is awarded to three (3) graduating seniors entering any degree program at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.  This is a one year scholarship. ($5,000.00 per student)
     
  • The Act of Kindness Scholarship will be award to a graduating senior from Central Dauphin East or Central Dauphin High School student for any college.  The student must have served two or more full years as a volunteer in the multiple disabilities classroom.  This is a one year scholarship. ($1.000.00)
     
  • The Gary C. Clemens Scholarship is awarded annually to one (1) graduating senior from Central Dauphin High School.  This scholarship is based upon academic performance, school involvement, community involvement, and an essay.  ($1,000.00) 
The above-listed scholarships are offered through the Rotary Club of Colonial Park Foundation.  Details, requirements and applications are available at the office of the Guidance Counselor at Dauphin County Technical School, Central Dauphin East High School, Central Dauphin High School, Bishop McDevitt High School and Harrisburg Christian School.  More information can also be found on the web site of the Rotary Club of Colonial Park – www.colonialparkrotaryclub.org – click on the Rotary Foundation tab on the web site.  Please note that not all scholarships are offered to all schools.
                                  

The Rotary Club of Colonial Park Scholarship will be awarded to five (5) students, one graduating senior from Central Dauphin High School, Central Dauphin East High School, Dauphin County Technical School, Bishop McDevitt High School and Harrisburg Christian School.  This scholarship is based upon academic performance, school involvement, community involvement, and an essay. The Rotary Club of Colonial Park selects the scholarship recipients from an application process; applications are due in spring of the senior year.  ($1,000 per student)
